November is here, which means the jump race season has fully come into its reign. Multiple hurdles and chases are being held around the country but if you are looking for a grand event at one of Britain’s most popular racecourses, Cheltenham November Meeting 2025 is definitely not something you would want to miss.
Compared to many other British racecourses, Cheltenham is comparatively young, with its horse racing history beginning in the 19th century. Designed specifically for jump races, it stays open from October to April. The list of notable races conducted at Cheltenham runs long, but the most prestigious event it hosts is the Cheltenham Festival, which is conducted every year in March and includes the Cheltenham Golden Cup.
The Cheltenham November Meeting will be the first major event of the 2025 season. It usually lasts for three days, and this year falls between Friday, 14 November and Sunday, 16 November. Opening the meeting as its first race will be The Lycetts Insurance Brokers Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle Race, with The Three Counties Christmas Open National Hunt Flat Race closing the event on Sunday.
The main featured race of the meeting, the Paddy Power Gold Cup, will take place on the second day of the event.

Betting at Cheltenham November Meeting
Cheltenham Racecourse allows betting on its events both online and at the venue. One of the prominent events at the start of the jump race season, the Cheltenham November Meeting attracts both horse racing punters and bookmaking platforms that offer horse racing among their betting markets.
At 7bet, we offer a wide range of horse race betting markets both for domestic and international events.
Please note that odds for the Cheltenham November Meeting will be available closer to the event date.
Betting at the Cheltenham November Meeting includes various horse betting markets, with some of the most popular being:
- Win: This is the most straightforward bet, where you place your wager on the horse that in your opinion will win the race. If you make a correct prediction, your wager will be eligible for a payout proportional to the offered odds and the size of your bet.
- Place: If you have identified a horse that has all the chances to win the race but is running against equally strong candidates, you may want to secure your wager. In this case you can bet that your horse will be placed, i.e. come to the finish line within the winning top. The number of winning places may range from top two to top four depending on the total number of runners in the race. If your horse takes any place within the winning top, you will qualify for a payout.
- First Two (or First Three): Instead of betting on one horse, you can place your wager on all winning places in one race. This will be either first two or first three horses to finish the race. Be aware that not only do you have to name all of them correctly, you also need to predict the exact order in which they will come to the finish line.
- Two From Three: You can also place a bet on several winning horses in one race but with somewhat lower risk. For this, you need to name two out of the first three horses to finish the race but you don’t need to predict their exact placement. If both of them take any winning place within the top three, your wager will win.
Always remember to gamble responsibly and treat betting as a form of entertainment and not means for financial gain.
