Rugby sevens made its debut at the Olympics in 2016. This year, France won the gold medal in the men’s event after defeating Fiji in the final. South Africa finished with the bronze medal after winning the bronze medal won match against Australia.
In the women’s event, New Zealand retained the gold medal after defeating Canada in the final. The bronze medal went to the United States, which defeated Australia by 14-12 in the bronze medal match.

Skateboarding made its debut at the Olympics during the Tokyo 2020 Games and had four events. All four events—men’s park, women’s park, men’s street, and women’s street—were included in the Paris 2024 Olympics as well.
