Top Players in the 2025/26 Season

Every year, there are those superstars that stand head and shoulders above the rest of their squad and rivals, in terms of goal scoring capabilities. As ever, the Premier League is full of lethal strikers, ready to torch defenders and put goalies in despair. Who are the crème de la crème in this category? Let’s find out!

Erling Haaland

The Norwegian striker is arguably the most valuable player in the Premier League (by transfer valuation) and is the leading attacker at Man City. Last year, the 6’4” striker racked up 34 total goals. Not amazing by his standards, but still quite a lot.

He scored 22 times in the Premiership and finished 3rd in the top scorers table. However, he has won the golden boot in the past, so if Manchester City is back on top, the Norwegian is a prime candidate for a repeat.

Mohamed Salah

Probably the most valuable player of last season, Mo Salah dominated 2024/25, earning top scorer honors. Now 32, a more mature Salah is just as dangerous, if not more so. After a cracking campaign where he netted 29 goals and won Player of the Year honours, Mo Salah is a prime candidate for repeating.

Florian Wirtz

Liverpool‘s newcomer has a high bar of standard to live up. After being signed for about £116m, the German will have to move mountains in order to meet the hype and the immense pricetag. However, if his days in Bayer and the German national team are of any indication, Wirtz can do just that in the final third.

Alexander Isak

Newcastle’s Swedish forward tallied 23 league goals in 2024–25, making him the second‑highest scorer of the Premier League. He stayed with the Magpies, remaining the most instrumental part of their offence. If things continue as is, Isak will remain a force to be reckoned with.

Cole Palmer

After the season just started, Ice Cold Cole Palmer was almost leading the goal-scoring charts. He cooled down in the 2nd part of the season but still finished in the TOP 10.

With Enzo Maresca’s side destined for improvement, a better Chelsea could provide Palmer with more opportunities to score. All he has to do is convert them into goals, and we all know how good he does just that.

Young Players to Watch

As always, fans are eager to find the next best thing. Both homegrown academy talents and young international arrivals can shine on the biggest stage of all – the Premier League. Let’s see who may be destined for glory with the top young players to watch in 2025/26.

  • Estevao (18, Chelsea) – already valued at €60.00m, the young Brazilian showed some flashes of brilliance in the Club World Cup, scoring against his current employer – Chelsea, while being on Palmeiras’ squad. The young winger is an expensive signing but his upside seems just too good to pass up on.
  • Myles Lewis-Skelly (18, Arsenal) – notable contributions including goals in the Premiership and assists in the Champions League. Lewis-Skelly has shown maturity well beyond his age. If he continues to improve, the Gunners can definitely enjoy a robust defensive line for years to come.
  • Kobbie Mainoo (20, Manchester United) – bursting onto the scene a few years back, Mainoo has been held back by injuries and instability at the club. With Amorim at the helm for his first full season, Kobbie Mainoo could finally show his full prowess, if healthy, of course.
  • Carlos Baleba (21, Brighton) – one of the highest-valued young midfielders in the Premier League, the Cameroonian Carlos Baleba was one of the best players in Brighton las year. A solid midfield presence already attracted the eye of Premier League giants, so don’t overlook him!
