The summer horse racing season is entering its last part, but the racegoers are still in for several thrilling events before the jump season fully takes over. One of the most anticipated horse racing fixtures in the calendar this August is the Ebor Festival.
Held at the York Racecourse, the Ebor Festival was first established in 1843. Its inaugural race was the Ebor Handicap. Since then, the festival has expanded and is now conducted every year over the course of four days.

While the first mentions of horse racing in the Scottish town of Ayr go back to 1576, the first official meeting only took place in 1771, and the Ayr Racecourse was established as recently as 1907.

The first racecourse at Town Moor was already present on the 1595 map of the place. Today, the Doncaster Racecourse is also often referred to as the Town Moor course. The current racecourse dates back to 1776 and stays active all year around.

Often referred to as CPL or CPLT20, Caribbean Premier League is an annual Twenty20 cricket tournament that includes six teams from different countries of the Caribbean region. Its first edition was played in 2013.
The format of the Premier League includes a group stage and a knock out stage.
