It has been a while since the last race of Royal Ascot came to the finish line, but Ascot Racecourse never sleeps. And as July turns its midpoint, the flat horse racing community is once again directing their eyes at the tracks in Berkshire, this time for the King George Racing Weekend.
The history of this event begins with two separate races, the King George VI race established in 1946 and Queen Elizabeth race established in 1948. In 1951 they were combined into one race, and its inaugural run took place on 21 July same year.

Summer in Britain is rich with large scale flat horse racing events, but some of them truly stand out. One such event is the July Festival that usually takes place in early July at the Newmarket racing venue.
The Festival takes its origins from the July Cup that was established in 1876. Today it is conducted over the course of three days and for sponsorship reasons is known as the Debenhams July Festival.

FIFA Club World Cup has flashed through its round of 16 and quarterfinals stages, and now the world football community is waiting for the final remaining battles, as the tournament enters its semifinals stage. The 2025/2027 ICC World Test Championship has started only recently but is already in full motion.
