Liverpool Betting Odds: 2024-2025 Season

It seems Liverpool FC is always near the top, yet they rarely manage to maximise their talents and win it all. They are the last team to win the Premier League besides Manchester City. Pre-season predictions saw Liverpool as strong title contenders, but the Anfield side has arguably done even better than expected.
The Reds capitalised on the misfortunes of their main rivals, Arsenal and Manchester City, in the Premiership and showed excellent form in the UEFA Champions League. Let’s look at their odds for each major 2024-25 season competition.

Premier League: Liverpool odds

Overview of Liverpool Betting Odds

Liverpool FC is the last champion of the English Premier League, not named Manchester City. The club won the league title back in 2019/2020. However, since that season, they have been within reach of a repeat Premiership victory a few times, yet they have never really managed to bring it home.

European efforts also failed to bring home the hardware fans are so eager to see. With that being said, the arrival of a new head coach – Arne Slot, in place of Jurgen Klopp, seems to be the positive boost of energy a very talented squad needed. Their 2024-25 campaign results have brought joy to their fans in England and abroad. Let’s look at their odds and performance in the 2024-25 Premier League, UEFA Champions League, EFL (Carabao) Cup and the FA Cup.

Liverpool FC in 2024-25 Premier League

After 21 rounds played, Liverpool FC stands atop the Premier League table with a game in hand and a comfortable lead against their closest rivals.

They started the season strong with 3 victories in succession. However, on September 14, they fell to Nottingham Forest 1-0. Since then, they have played 16 total matches in the Premier League and haven’t lost any of them. They drew 5 games and won 11.

A 16-game unbeaten run is a fantastic achievement on its own. Still, if you were to compare Liverpool odds with their opponents, only a handful of teams can even go toe to toe with them, let alone be the favourite in a direct matchup against the Reds. As it stands now, their Premier League odds display them as one of the favourites, with a comfortable lead at the top of the table and only 1 loss in 21 games.

Liverpool FC in 2024-25 UEFA Champions League

With 6 games played in the new format, UEFA Champions League odds for 2024-25 have improved.

Currently, only one team is lossless, having won all 6 games they played. That team is Mo Salah-led Liverpool FC. Hence, their odds have improved significantly since the start of the campaign. Before the new format UEFA Champions League started, other teams were pinned ahead of Arne Slot’s ‘Reds’, but they displayed remarkable consistency, winning against some of the best teams in European football.

  • A solid 3-1 victory against AC Milan in San Siro
  • 2-0 dispatch of Bologna
  • Hard-earned 1-0 victory over Leipzig
  • Dominant thrashing 4-0 over reigning German champions Leverkusen
  • Statement win 2-0 against UEFA Champions League title defenders Real Madrid
  • One more difficult victory against Girona 1-0

In the Champions League, Liverpool seem to be very good towards the end of games, scoring around 40 % of their goals between 60’ and 75’ minutes. Luis Diaz, Mo Salah, Cody Gakpo and even Alexis Mac Allister have been sublime in attack, while Virgil van Dijk, Dominik Szoboszlai and Ryan Gravenberch provide a solid boost in their respective positions.

The current odds for Liverpool in the CL show them as a great contender to go all the way.

Liverpool FC in 2024-25 EFL Cup

As the defending champions of the 2023-24 Carabao Cup, Liverpool came to the 2024-25 season ready to defend their title. They started their campaign in the 3rd round, being matched against an unpredictable West Ham United.

On September 25, 2024, the two teams went head to head in Anfield. Although the hosts conceded first courtesy of an own goal, it only took them 4 minutes to respond, and Diogo Jota equalised. The same Portuguese player gave the hosts the advantage at the start of the 2nd half, and the team never looked back. Once the ref blew the whistle for full time, Liverpool’s 60-thousand supporters at Anfield rejoiced over a 5-1 victory.

In the next round, on October 30, they met an even fiercer opponent – Brighton & Hove Albion on their home turf. In a truly tight contest, ‘Reds’ walked away victorious 3-2, moving to the Quarter-finals of the 2024-25 FA Cup where Southampton awaited. Once again, Arne Slot’s men came out guns blazing and took a 2-0 lead before halftime. They managed a 2-1 victory and advanced to the semis.

The Liverpool FA/Carabao Cup odds were at an all-time high before facing Tottenham Hotspurs in the semi-final stage. However, they lost the first leg 1-0 away and need a strong rebound performance in front of their home fans to reach the finals for a 2nd year running. It takes place on February 6, 2025.

Liverpool FC in 2024-25 FA Cup

Liverpool started the FA Cup campaign in the 3rd round, matching up against 4th division squad Accrington Stanley at home. Thanks to 4 different goal-scorers, they easily won the game 4-0.

On February 9, they play EFL Championship side Plymouth Argyle in the 4th round. It’s an away matchup, but because they’re in a higher division and are a much stronger team on paper, Liverpool odds for the FA Cup seem to put them as clear favourites for this round.

Liverpool Manager Odds

At the current season stage, Liverpool’s Arne Slot seems like a strong candidate for ‘Manager of the Year’. The Dutchman joined Liverpool after being very successful in coaching Feyenoord back home.

The former midfielder changed the formation a bit and seemed to implement specific tactical tweaks to make players feel more comfortable in their roles. The odds for a Liverpool manager change are very low as the team must be very happy with the job that the manager is doing. He even won the Premier League Manager of the Month award in November 2024.

In (Arrivals)

Players Club Transfer sum
Giorgi Mamardashvili Valencia €30.00m
Federico Chiesa Juventus €12.00m
Calvin Ramsay Wigan End of loan

Rhys Williams Morecambe FC End of loan
Nat Phillips Derby End of loan
Ben Doak Middlesbrough End of loan
Calvin Ramsay Kilmarnock FC End of loan
Vitezslav Jaros Liverpool U21
Tyler Morton Liverpool U21
TOTAL: €42.00m

Arne Slot went shopping with wise intentions. He bought Valencia’s star goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili for a very sensible €30.00m sum. Although the Brazilian is playing very well, the new signing might be picked as a replacement for Alisson. Another strong addition is Federico Chiesa from Juventus. Italy’s talent has been plagued with injuries, but getting him for €12.00m seems like bargain of the year. Despite this, it’s been hard for Slot to give him good minutes.

Out (Departures)

Players Club Transfer sum
Sepp van den Berg Brentford €23.60m
Fábio Carvalho Brentford €23.40m
Marcelo Pitaluga Fluminense free transfer
Adrián Real Betis free transfer
Giorgi Mamardashvili Valencia loan transfer
Calvin Ramsay Kilmarnock FC loan transfer
Calvin Ramsay Wigan loan transfer
Rhys Williams Morecambe FC loan transfer
Stefan Bajcetic RB Salzburg loan transfer
Marcelo Pitaluga Livingston FC loan transfer
Nat Phillips Derby loan transfer
Ben Doak Middlesbrough loan transfer
Joel Matip Retired
Thiago Alcántara Retired
TOTAL: €47.00m

Both highest-grossing departures came courtesy of Brentford, who purchased Sepp van den Berg and Fabio Carvalho for a combined sum of €47.00m. Although both young players have potential, their loss hasn’t been all that impactful, so financing the purchase of F. Chiesa and G. Mamardashvili this way seems like a very smart move.

It seems unlikely to see any more departures besides the rumours swirling around Trent Alexander-Arnold and the looming Mo Salah expiring contract situation.
