Barry Keoghan is an Irish actor who was born on 17th October 1992 in Dublin. This 31-year-old artist debuted in a crime film Between the Canals, released in 2011. But he only became famous in Ireland after starring in the 2014 film ‘71. But what gave him global popularity was the terrifying role that he played in the 2017 horror The Killing of a Sacred Deer

Keoghan entered the film industry with an intense background. His mother struggled with drug addiction while he was growing up. When he was 12, she passed away, and he and his brother were moved to foster care, where he spent 7 years of his life. After changing 13 foster homes, his grandma took him in. 

He went to watch movies with friends, and he credits these movies for educating him. But things took a turn after he played a small role in his debut film. He joined a drama school in Dublin called The Factory, to study acting. After playing a few Irish roles, he signed for a role in Dunkirk in 2017. 

Since then, he has quite a few merits to show for his wonderful acting. He has been nominated for the BAFTA Rising Star Award and Golden Globe for Best Actor for his performance in Saltburn. He won the Irish Film and Television Award for Best Supporting Actor and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his spectacular performance in The Killing of a Sacred Deer.
