Norway don’t do quiet games. At the World Cup this summer, they scored and conceded in all six of their matches, and those games produced 24 goals. Portugal were much harder to score against, letting in just three goals in five matches.
The two sides meet at Ullevaal Stadion in Oslo on Sunday 27 September, on Matchday 2 of League A, Group 4 in the 2026/27 UEFA Nations League. Kick-off is at 19:45 BST.

Norway vs Portugal – Betting Odds
The Norway vs Portugal betting odds make Portugal the favourites, but only just. The bookmaker expects a close game in which both teams score.
1X2 Betting Odds
1X2 is the simplest bet in football betting: you pick how the match ends. 1 is a home win, X is a draw and 2 is an away win, so a Norway win is 1 and a Portugal win is 2. Only the result counts, not the score.
The odds are shown as fractions. The number on the right is what you bet, and the number on the left is what you win. At 7/4, every £4 you bet wins £7, and you also get your stake (the money you bet) back.
A short price means a small win, because the bookmaker thinks that result is likely, and the team with the shortest price is the favourite. When the left number is smaller, like 4/15, the price is odds-on: you win less than you bet, because the bookmaker thinks it will happen more often than not.

Double Chance Odds
Double chance covers two of the three possible results with one bet, so you only lose if the third one happens:
- 1X: Norway win or draw
- 12: Norway win or Portugal win
- X2: Portugal win or draw
The catch here is the price. More ways to win means a smaller win, so a double chance price is always shorter than the price of either result on its own. It suits you if you think a team won’t lose, but you’re not sure they’ll win.

Handicap Betting Odds
Handicap betting gives the weaker team a head start of a set number of goals. A plus sign (+) adds goals to the weaker team’s score, and a minus sign (-) takes them away from the favourite. You apply the handicap to the final score to see if your bet wins.
If you back Portugal -1 and they win 2-0, the score becomes 1-0, so you win. If they win 1-0, it becomes 0-0 and you get your stake back. This is called a push.
Lines ending in .5 can never finish level, so there’s no push: Norway +0.5 wins if Norway win or draw, and Portugal -0.5 only wins if Portugal win.
Quarter lines split your stake in two. £10 on Portugal -0.25 is really £5 on Portugal 0 (no head start) and £5 on Portugal -0.5:
- Portugal win: both halves win.
- Draw: the £5 on Portugal 0 comes back to you (a push), and the other £5 loses.
- Norway win: both halves lose.
Norway +0.25 works the other way round: on a draw, half your stake comes back and the other half wins.

Both Teams to Score (BTTS) Odds
Both teams to score, or BTTS, is a bet on whether each team scores at least once.
- If you pick Yes, you’ll need a score like 1-1 or 2-1.
- If you pick No, you’ll need at least one team to finish without a goal, like 1-0 or 0-0.
The winner doesn’t matter, so a 3-1 win still counts as a Yes. It’s useful if you have a view on how open the game will be, but not on who will win.
Yes is odds-on at 9/17, so the bookmaker expects both teams to score.

Goal Total (Over/Under) Odds
Over/Under is a bet on how many goals both teams score in total. The bookmaker sets a line, usually 2.5 goals, and you pick whether the total will be over or under it.
Nobody can score half a goal, so the total is always above or below the line. Over 2.5 wins with three or more goals, like 2-1 or 3-0. Under 2.5 wins with two or fewer, like 1-1 or 1-0.

Correct Score Odds
Correct score means predicting the exact final score. If you back Norway to win 2-1, a 3-1 Norway win loses, and so does a 2-1 Portugal win. That’s why it’s the hardest bet on this page, and why it pays the most.
You can back several scores, but each one is a separate bet and only one can win. Common scores like 1-1 have shorter prices, while rare ones like 4-3 pay far more.
