England and Spain finished their World Cups just a day apart. England beat France 6-4 in Miami on 18 July to finish third, and the next day Spain beat Argentina 1-0 after extra time in New Jersey to become world champions.
Neither side has played since, and their first game back is against each other: Matchday 1 of League A, Group 3 in the 2026/27 UEFA Nations League, at Wembley Stadium in London on Saturday 26 September, kick-off 19:45 BST.

England vs Spain – Betting Odds
The England vs Spain betting odds point to a tight game. Spain are the more likely winner at 16/11, but not by much, with England at 5/3. In the goals market there is no favourite at all: Over and Under 2.5 goals are also currently priced exactly the same, at 5/6.
1X2 Betting Odds
1X2 is the most basic bet in football betting: you choose how the match will end. The name comes from the three possible results. 1 is a home win, X is a draw and 2 is an away win. England are the home team here, so an England win is 1 and a Spain win is 2.
Only the result counts, so a 1-0 win and a 5-0 win pay out the same. The bet is settled on 90 minutes plus stoppage time, like every market on this page, so extra time and penalties never count.
The odds tell you how much you can win. At 5/3, every £3 you bet wins you £5, and you get your £3 stake back too. The smaller the win compared to your stake, the more likely the bookmaker thinks that result is. Spain at 16/11 pay less than England at 5/3, which is the bookmaker’s way of saying a Spain win is the most likely of the three results.

Double Chance Odds
Double chance lets you cover two of the three possible results with one bet. Instead of picking the result you think will happen, you rule out the one you think won’t. There are three options: 1X (home win or draw), 12 (home win or away win) and X2 (draw or away win).
Covering two results makes your bet more likely to win, so the odds are shorter. You win far less, but you still get paid something if one of the two results you chose happen.
The 12 option confuses a lot of people, because it looks like you’re backing both teams at once. What it really means is that you’re betting against a draw. If either team wins, by any score, your bet wins. Only a draw loses.

Handicap Betting Odds
Handicap betting gives one team a virtual head start in goals, to make a game between a stronger and a weaker side more even to bet on. A plus sign (+) adds goals to a team’s score, and a minus sign (-) takes goals away. The bet is then settled on this new made-up score instead of the real one.
It’s easier with an example. A team at -1 has one goal taken off their score, so they need to win by two goals or more. If they win by exactly one, the new score is a draw, so the bet is a push and you get your stake back. Half-goal lines, like +1.5, can’t end in a push, because no team scores half a goal. A team at +1.5 wins the bet if they win, draw or lose by one goal.
The lines in the table below are smaller. England +0 and Spain -0 give no head start at all: if your team wins, you win, and if it’s a draw, you get your stake back. This bet is also known as draw no bet.
The +0.25 and -0.25 lines split your stake in half. Say you bet £10 on England +0.25: that’s £5 on England +0 and £5 on England +0.5, which wins if England win or draw. If England win, both halves win, and if Spain win, both lose. If it’s a draw, the £5 on England +0 comes back to you and the £5 on England +0.5 wins, so you get a half win.
Spain -0.25 works the other way round: a Spain win pays in full, but a draw gives you half your stake back and loses the other half, which is called a half loss.

Both Teams to Score (BTTS) Odds
Both Teams to Score, or BTTS, has nothing to do with who wins. You’re betting on whether both teams score at least one goal, and there are only two options: Yes or No.
Yes wins if both teams score, so 1-1, 2-1 and 3-2 are all winners. No wins if at least one team fails to score, so 0-0, 1-0 and 4-0 are all winning bets on No. That means a 3-0 win is a losing bet on Yes, while a 1-1 draw is a winner.
For this game, Yes is odds-on at 4/6. Odds-on means you win less than you stake. In other words, the bookmaker thinks both teams scoring is more likely than not.

Goal Total (Over/Under) Odds
Over/Under, shown on 7bet as Total, is about the number of goals in the match. You add up the goals scored by both teams and bet on whether the total will be over or under a set number. For this match, that number is 2.5 goals (you can choose other lines too).
The half goal is there so the bet can never end level. Over 2.5 wins if there are three or more goals, and Under 2.5 wins if there are two or fewer. It doesn’t matter who scores them: 3-0, 2-1 and 0-3 all add up to three goals, so they’re all winners for Over.
Other lines, like 1.5 or 3.5 goals, work in the same way. The England vs Spain odds on the 2.5 line are the same on both sides, so the bookmaker sees three or more goals and two or fewer as equally likely.

Correct Score Odds
Correct score means predicting the exact final score. If you back 1-1 and the game ends 1-1, you win. If it ends 2-1, or any other score, you lose.
It’s the hardest market on this page to win, because a match can end in so many different scores. That’s why the odds are so much bigger: a big price is the bookmaker saying it doesn’t expect that exact score. Even 1-1, the shortest price in the table below, is 19/4, so a £4 bet would win you £19.
Some people back two or three scores to improve their chances, but each one is a separate bet with its own stake, so every extra score lowers your overall profit if one of them comes in.
