Pirots 4 is a space-themed video slot from ELK Studios, released on 24 July 2025. It became the 4th mainline and the 5th overall entry in the developer’s hugely popular ‘Pirots’ series. This time, the story takes the 4 adventurers beyond the atmosphere. We see a Space Monster stealing their treasure and dragging the action out into the galaxy and far-away worlds. The visuals are just one part of the Pirots 4 slot. It also sets itself apart with plenty of mechanics and Features that give variety to sessions.
Mechanically, Pirots 4 builds on the studio’s signature CollectR™ system and runs on a 6-reel, 6-row grid that can expand all the way up to 8×8. A large Feature set is layered on top, with plenty of additions that are fresh and were never before used in Pirots slots. This is one of the more complex entries in an already unique series. Hence, this review will take things slowly and explain each moving part in plain terms. You can play Pirots 4 at 7bet casino.

Whenever you play Pirots 4 for real money, you’ll encounter plenty of moving parts and different mechanics. Learning them is essential to having a clean, fun, and less stressful experience. That applies to all online slots at 7bet.
Every Feature connects back to the same core concept: four coloured birds collecting matching gems from the grid, with a list of systems that expand the board, transform symbols, and throw chaos into the mix. Let’s go through them one by one.
The standard version of the Bonus Game is triggered when birds collect 3 BONUS SCATTER symbols. This will award 5 Free Drops. For every BONUS symbol beyond that, the slot will give +1 drop.
You can retrigger the Bonus with +1 Free Drop for every BONUS symbol that the birds are able to collect during the Feature.
Crucially, your grid size, Collection Meter progress and any gem upgrades earned in the base game all carry over into the round. They don’t reset, so progress carries over and keeps the dynamics. Free Drops tend to have a higher win potential.

If one of the BONUS symbols that triggered the Bonus is a SUPER BONUS, you’re upgraded into the Super Bonus Game. This mode is enhanced, starting at the max expanded 8x8 grid. The key differentiator here is the ‘Upgrade’ symbol dynamic switch. All ‘Upgrade’ symbols that appear are global variants, meaning every collected upgrade boosts all four colours.
This is the engine that’s the foundation of the Pirots 4 slot, and a trademark of the series. You have four bird characters on the screen (red, purple, green and blue). They sit on the grid and can only collect a symbol of their respective colour that’s directly next to it (as well as WILDS). Birds usually go and collect Feature symbols as soon as possible.
Each collection is worth something, and the final collection tally is your CollectR™ win. After collections complete, the rest of the gems drop, while new ones fall in to fill the gaps. The process of collections continues until no more opportunities remain.
If two birds happen to be adjacent to each other with a better collecting opportunity available, they can perform a Swircheroo. This is random, but if it happens, birds switch and grab more value.
Every gem and WILD collection also fills a Collection Meter that sits above the reels. Once the meter is full, the slot releases a batch of Feature symbols in random grid positions. Keep in mind that in Pirots 4, you can fill the Collection Meter multiple times over, with each threshold triggering a new batch of symbol appearances.
Every base game spin starts on a 6x6 grid by default, but it can expand as you play. Every time a corner bomb detonates (covered in the section ‘Space Station Bombs’), the grid can expand randomly, up to a maximum of 8x8.
Any leftover segments of the space station act as tunnels or portals for the birds (akin to tunnels in Pirots 5). If 2 or more matching-coloured symbols sit at both ends of the tunnel, that bird can cross it. When doing so, it can collect up to 2 Feature symbols that may appear along the way.
Once the grid expands to 8x8, tunnels transform into portals (covered in ‘Space Portals’).
This is a special slot mechanic that can be triggered with the special Transform symbol (gas tank). If it lands near a bird or in the path of a collection, it will be picked up. Once the symbol activates, the transformation takes place, switching a random cluster of nearby symbols into the bird’s own colour or WILDS.
This mechanic can prolong collections and boost the value of a round right in the middle.
Look at each corner of the grid, and you can see coloured bombs, styled as sections of the ruined space. When a bird collects a symbol from a corner position and the colour matches, the bomb there detonates, triggering the Grid Expansion.
Beyond simply blowing the positions wide open, Space Station Bombs enable movement inside the station once it’s breached. Moving through the tunnels can allow you to collect special Feature symbols.
There’s also a chance for Charlie’s Extra Chance random event to trigger. If it does, the event lights up between 1 and 4 corner bombs at once for a more dramatic expansion.
One of the key aspects of newer slots in this family, and Pirots 4 is the option to select one of three worlds. Lost in Space is the original environment, with Frozen Fury (ice) and Inferno (Fire) rolled out later in the lifespan. By now, they live inside the slot, and you can move between them before each spin for free.
What changes is the visual backdrop and the identity of the villain Feature and its matching coin game. The rest of the mechanics stay the same. Core RTP and volatility figures remain the same, so it comes down to visual preference and Feature variety. Quick summary of each world:
There will be more detailed coverage of all worlds and their special Features below.
The original villain Feature, and the main difference from Frozen Fury and Inferno. It runs on a duel logic that was introduced in Pirots 3, rather than Freeze or Multiply in Frozen Fury or Random Chaos of Inferno.
How it triggers: one of the birds needs to collect the Button on the grid and press it. Once no further collections can be made and all previous Features end, the Alien Invasion effect takes place.
How it works: the Space Bandit flies above the reels in a saucer. It sweeps up column by column (random pattern), collecting gems and Feature symbols, accumulating value. He cannot touch Black Hole, Space Corn, or Transform symbols. However, if he sweeps in an Upgrade symbol, it’s applied to the corresponding gems. If the sweep has a parrot, it triggers a Space Duel with 2 possible outcomes:
If the alien defeats all birds, he sweeps up everything, applies the largest multiplier and drops in Coins before disappearing and allowing birds to return.
This is one of two other worlds in Pirots 4. The theme is a frozen, snowy landscape, and it uses a fundamentally different risk logic than Space Bandit while keeping the same RTP and volatility profile.
How it triggers: the birds need to collect the ‘Horn’ symbol and call the Yeti.
How it works: the Yeti lands in the middle of the grid, surrounded on all four sides by a freeze zone. In the standalone coin game version, this is a 4x4 zone with a 2x2 Yeti at the centre. Any bird that enters the Freeze zone empty-handed gets frozen and removed from play entirely, while doubling the Yeti’s multiplier. But, if a bird enters while carrying a prize trail, the Yeti applies the current multiplier, doubles its own Multiplier and returns the bird to the grid.
That's the core tension: the freeze zone is simultaneously a threat (lose a bird for nothing) and an opportunity (multiply a good haul), and which one happens depends entirely on whether the bird arrives empty or loaded.
This is the Inferno’s headline villain mechanic, working entirely differently from the previous 2.
How it triggers: the birds need to collect a Rocket symbol to set the Feature off.
How it works: the rocket fires off, and between 1 and 4 Fire Minions can appear on the grid. Then, if a bird moves to or lands adjacent to a Fire Minion, it’s set on fire and goes on a random menacing pattern, leaving a blazed trail of gems and coins behind it. That allows the grid to refresh with fresh collectable value for the future.
A standout Feature that can shake things up when you play Pirots 4 is called ‘Black Hole’. You can label it as the ‘Chaos’ button. When a bird moves to a Black Hole, it’s activated. Once collections end, the Hole’s effect takes place.
It will absorb everything on the grid (birds and symbols) and throw all of it back out in a randomised order. Between 1 and 3 birds can be removed from play as the reshuffle happens. If that’s the effect, any gems that share the removed bird’s colour are immediately turned into one of the birds that remain.
This is a type of helper symbol that fills empty grid spaces, allowing each bird to cross that empty gap exactly once to reach symbols it otherwise couldn’t. It’s a small mechanic, but can be practical, since it opens up routes across the grid instead of posting dead ends.
Spacecorn is triggered by collecting the Popcorn symbol. Then a tentacled alien jumps up and controls each bird in sequence, collecting symbols and moving via spacecorn if needed. Clearing every remaining collectable symbol from the grid immediately triggers the Lost in Space coin game, which is covered next.
The Pirots 4 slot is unique in the sense that it has 3 different Coin Games – each unique to their respective worlds.
Lost in Space Coin Game: clear the entire grid during the Spacecorn to trigger it immediately. All other pending Features are put on hold. The minigame plays out on an 8x8 grid with one bird in each of the 4 corners. Players are given 3 drops. Drops can land coins, bridges or nothing at all. Landing a coin or bridge symbol resets the drop counter back to 3. Once drops run out, surviving birds collect any symbols they can reach, with the total paid out. Bandit duels can also occur.
Frozen Fury Coin Game: runs on the same freeze-zone logic on an 8x8 grid, and is triggered the same way. A bird starts in each corner, and you’re given 3 drops, with the counter resetting for every successful drop. It’s nearly identical to the ‘Lost in Space’ variant, but with the Freeze zone in the middle, where the Multiplier doubles whenever a bird enters the zone.
Inferno Coin Game: this one is unique in the sense that it’s a 9x9 grid, with a ‘Don’t Press’ button at the centre. If a bird reaches it, the ‘Charlie’ Feature is triggered. Charlie is the mech-villain of this round, igniting all 4 birds simultaneously and plunging the grid into volatile turmoil, leaving behind coins.
Open the X-iter™ menu, and you can see the Bonus Hunt betting option. This will increase your stake 3x, in exchange for a significant boost in the chance of landing enough BONUS symbols for a Free Drops trigger.
This is one of the slot’s more chaotic combo events, now a trademark of the more recent Pirots entries. In Pirots 4, you can trigger Power Clash if multiple (3+) birds are adjacent to one another. When that happens, birds clash, destroying gems in a radius and getting tossed into new positions on the grid. Like ‘Black Hole’, it’s a genuine Wild Card, but only takes effect after collections end.
Once the grid expands to the full 8x8 configuration, the corner positions are replaced by teleportation portals. Whenever a matching-coloured symbol pair is present on both sides of a portal, the birds can travel between them to continue the collections. On a fully expanded board, portals cut down the distance between promising clusters.
Getting to know the paytable and payouts is a key part of Responsible Play. Below is a detailed, but compact breakdown of how the paytable works in Pirots 4.
Pirots 4 is the 4th mainline entry and the 5th overall instalment in ELK Studios’ flagship family. Every edition has moved through different settings and environments. For example, Pirots 2 took the birds into a prehistoric, dinosaur-filled world, while Pirots 3 threw them into a Wild West town. This time, you play Pirots 4 in space, surrounded by a starry backdrop or navigating to worlds with extreme weather conditions.
Within the mainline Pirots slots, this particular release contributes a lot mechanically. The Space Bandit and Alien Invasion system, along with 2 other variations for the different worlds, rewards the players with a unique session dynamic.
First, it’s a different Feature structure from anything players could’ve seen in earlier Pirots’ entries. Second – variations make it feel like an entirely different slot is being played.
Also worth mentioning are the all-new Black Hole and Spacecorn mechanics, which add a layer of controlled chaos that previous entries just can’t match.
If you’re familiar with the series, then Pirots 4 may be the natural upgrade or choice for your casual sessions. However, because the slot has many Features and moving parts, it takes time to get used to. While it can be accommodating to newcomers, this ELK Studios creation rewards patience and observance. Keep that in mind before spending cash.
In this configuration, the Pirots 4 slot carries an RTP of 92.00%. Volatility is rated medium-high, meaning win distribution is swingy, and you could see longer stretches between payouts, with the occasional large, Multiplier-driven spike. The max win is capped at 10,000x of your bet.
If you play Pirots 4 in the UK for real money, you can win up to £50,000 at 7bet Casino.
The two headline Bonus rounds are Bonus Game and Super Bonus game, both triggered by SCATTER symbols. Alongside them, there’s the Alien Invasion and the Lost in Space coin game, with corresponding variations of these in the ‘Frozen Fury’ and ‘Inferno’ worlds.
Yes, the main Multiplier system runs through the ‘Alien Invasion’ Feature and with the ‘Yeti’ in the ‘Frozen Fury’ world. In ‘Alien Invasion’, the spaceship’s multiplier increases each time the Bandit defeats a parrot in the duel. While in ‘Frozen Fury’, each collection that ends in the Freeze zone doubles the Yeti’s multiplier.
From the base paytable, the Red gem has the highest value, with WILDS being able to match it. However, there are special Coins that can reach up to 1,000x in value.
