The Super Bowl is the USA’s most-watched and most anticipated sporting event of the year. This year is the 59th edition of the Super Bowl, which is scheduled for February 9, 2025, and will be hosted by the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. Home of the Saints, the Superdome promises an exciting entertainment program alongside the ever-exciting winner-takes-all matchup between the two competing teams.
Last year, the Kansas City Chiefs triumphed 25-22 against a strong San Francisco 49ers squad. Patrick Mahomes’ squad won back-to-back titles, cementing their franchise amongst the all-time greats. Can they make it a three-peat? Or will a new champion rise to the throne?

AFC Playoff Highlights
The 2025 NFL Playoffs started in an exciting fashion. In the AFC, the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Houston Texans in a very high-intensity game 23-14. On the other side of the bracket, the Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews failed to get a hold of the ball in the dying seconds and the Bills advanced to the AFC Championship game by winning battle of the favourites 27-25.
The January 26 AFC Championship game between the Bills and Chiefs marks yet another time when Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes battle it out for supremacy on the biggest stage. So far, the Chiefs have gotten the better of the Bills in the playoffs, but maybe this time will be different.
NFC Playoff Highlights
In the NFC, there’s the ‘Cinderella story’ of the year – Washington Commanders and their explosive rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels. He helped his team beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 23-20 in the Wild Card and also provided a major upset, thumping the Detroit Lions 45-31. The Commanders will face an ever-dangerous Philadelphia Eagles squad for the NFC championship. Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley, A.J. Brown and company weren’t troubled by the Green Bay Packers in the Wild Card round, winning 22-10. The Divisional round, however, provided a tougher test in the shape of LA Rams, but the Eagles still emerged victorious 28-22.
On January 26, Commanders face the Eagles in Philly’s Financial Field stadium. These teams only met once in the regular season, and the rookie Jayden Daniels got the better out of his much more experienced matchup. The Commanders won that game 36-33, thanks to a monstrous 4th quarter and a very solid game from Jayden Daniels, who threw for 5 touchdowns and ran for 81 yards. It’s a battle of high-octane attacking football, so let’s see who comes out on top.
