There is no better race for the first race in Las Vegas. These were the thoughts of Charles Leclerc after the debut of the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix in 2023. No one can deny that it was a superb addition to an F1 calendar, and with each day, we get closer to the second race in this spectacular location.
The period of three decisive F1 races will answer all the questions. However, after the last race, the title expectations have diminished. The Formula 1 event in Las Vegas will start on the 22nd of November and last until the 24th. As always, the race will consist of a few essential segments:

Decreased Tension & Unexpected Finish
After winning the Brazilian Grand Prix, Max Verstappen heads towards securing yet another world championship. Already called a drive for the ages from 17th on the grid to victory, he silenced the critics at the right moment. It was his eighth and only first victory since late June when he won the Spanish Grand Prix. His hard-fought comeback almost blew all the heat that collected during these months.
Nevertheless, the title race is not over yet, and while it is still possible, it is worth trying. Even though Max pulled off a shocker, the story of the Brazilian Grand Prix is the Formula 1 team – Alpine. Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly guaranteed themselves a double podium as they finished second and third, respectively. Alpine has been struggling, but they have secured its first double podium since 2013. Below, we present the ten fastest Formula 1 Brazilian Grand Prix racers.

Upcoming Las Vegas Grand Prix 2024 Changes
After last year’s controversies, the organizers promised to roll up their sleeves and improve a few crucial elements. F1 dedicated their energy and time to managing road closures more efficiently, not disturbing local businesses, and better integrating with the Las Vegas community. F1 has committed to staying in touch with local authorities regarding traffic control throughout the period.
The track-building process is already underway, but one of the adjustments includes the installation of the temporary vehicular bridge at Flamingo Road and Koval Lane. Last year, the bridge was four lanes. Nevertheless, this time, the bridge will be two lanes. It will ease traffic congestion and enhance movement. The crews have also begun constructing barriers and setting up the lighting.

The fastest lap in the Las Vegas Grand Prix belongs to Oscar Piastri, who, in 2023, finished a single lap in 1:35.490. The 2024 race will consist of 17 turns, and each track bend will be incredibly meritorious, especially now that the title is on the line.
Contenders must be their best in the upcoming F1 event that generated tons of money and boosted financial performance massively last year. In 2023, Las Vegas GP yielded an impressive $884 million for the local region, and it was the most successful race of the season. The city of Sins can play a much grander role, and it will; no one can argue with the magnificence of this location.
F1 Title Race & Possibilities
Verstappen’s lead over L. Norris has increased to 62 points. There will not be any more opportunities to reduce the gap, so it all comes down to this. There are only 86 points up for grabs, as each GP offers a maximum of 26. A driver gets 25 points for the win and an extra one for a bonus point.
Yet, we cannot forget the sprint race in Qatar, where one might grab up to eight additional points. The only element that simplifies everything is that if M. Verstappen finishes ahead of L. Norris in Las Vegas – he will become the four-time Formula 1 champion. So, essentially, his advantage cannot be lower than 60 points.
Position | Driver | Points |
1 | Max Verstappen | 393 |
2 | Lando Norris | 331 |
3 | Charles Leclerc | 307 |
4 | Oscar Piastri | 262 |
5 | Carlos Sainz | 244 |
6 | George Russell | 192 |
7 | Lewis Hamilton | 190 |
8 | Sergio Perez | 151 |
9 | Fernando Alonso | 62 |
10 | Nico Hulkenberg | 31 |
The Battle of the Trio & Big Leap
The fight for the F1 constructors’ title is on, and all three leading crews can still worsen and enhance their positions. McLaren currently has 593 points and leads the race, but second-placed Ferrari and third-placed Red Bull are only down by 36 and 49, respectively.
Regardless, the main star after the last race was the Alpine team, which finished second and third and hopped from ninth to sixth place in the F1 standings. E. Ocon and P. Gasly collected an impressive amount of 35 points, even though they only had 14 in their previous 20 races.
The loftiest jump in this Formula 1 edition played a tremendous role in the F1 table, but it will also massively affect the financial condition. Alpine hold the number six spot now, and it would accumulate an estimated $30 million in prize money. It proves one more time that one race and a single mistake can lead to such enormous shifts. So, let us glance at the present F1 standings.
