Here you place your wager on the horse that you see as the most likely to win the race. If your prediction happens to be correct, you will be eligible for a payout proportional to the offered odds and the size of your stake.

Place: Placement in horse racing means that the horse takes one of the winning places. Depending on the number of runners in that particular race, the winning top can be defined in the range from top two to top four. When placing a wager on this bet, you don’t have to predict the exact position for your horse within the winning top, as any of them will work toward your bet.

First Two (or First Three): If you want to try and predict all the winning horses, you can place your bet on this market. You don’t place a separate wager on each horse but rather name the first two or the first three horses to come to the finish line in one bet. The important part is that you also need to specify the order in which they will finish the race. All of them have to come to the finish line in that particular order for your bet to win.

Two From Three: This betting market follows a similar mechanism but with a somewhat lower risk. Here you have to predict any two out of the first three horses to finish the race. The good thing is that you don’t have to predict their exact placements, as any place within the winning top will qualify you for a payout. However, both of them need to come to the finish line within the top three. If only one of them is placed and the other is not, your wager will lose.

Always remember to gamble responsibly and treat betting as a form of entertainment and not means for financial gain.

How to Buy Tickets

Tickets for the Coral Gold Cup Weekend are available for purchase on the official website of the Newbury Racecourse.

The Racecourse offers passes to two enclosures for the entire event.
